At a press conference during the 2025 Seoul Mobility Show, Genesis revealed its latest concept car, the X Gran Coupe Concept, making its world premiere as a bold expression of the brand’s luxury design evolution.
Based on the flagship G90 sedan, the X Gran Coupe is a striking two-door concept model that encapsulates the essence of Genesis' design philosophy, “Athletic Elegance.” It introduces a reimagined interpretation of Genesis’ signature design cues while embracing the proportions and presence expected from a flagship vehicle.

The front fascia features the brand’s hallmark Two-Line headlamps and Crest Grille, now with a new 3D diamond mesh that mimics the texture of braided metal threads — delivering a refined, high-end impression.

Along the sides, the X Gran Coupe emphasizes volume and presence with an extended hood, wide fenders, and frameless long doors. The large, continuous Daylight Opening (DLO) integrates glass surfaces seamlessly, blurring the boundaries between interior and exterior for a dramatic silhouette.

At the rear, slim tail lamps, a flush-mounted Genesis wordmark, a subtle spoiler edge on the tailgate, and rectangular dual exhausts framed by chrome lines convey a sporty yet elegant stance.
The vehicle is finished in a deep green hue inspired by Mediterranean olive trees, reinforcing its premium and serene character. This theme continues inside, where Genesis combines olive green and cognac-toned natural leather. The leather is tanned through a sustainable process that repurposes wastewater from refined olive oil and eliminates harmful chromium substances.

The interior continues the G90’s “Beauty of White Space” approach with enhanced driver-centric features. The wing-shaped dashboard is formed into one continuous curve to heighten immersion, while the steering wheel’s lower spoke is made from finely patterned aluminum, enhancing both tactile control and visual symmetry.

Further emphasizing natural elements, the dashboard and door trims are crafted from real olive wood, and the doors incorporate custom backlit graphics of olive leaf patterns, creating a warm and sophisticated ambiance.

Genesis has dedicated a 1,200m² (approx. 363 pyeong) space at the show, where it is also exhibiting a total of nine models, including X Gran Coupe Concept, X Gran Convertible Concept, GMR-001 Hypercar (1:2 scale model), GV60 Magma Concept, GV60 facelift model, GV80 Coupe Black Edition, Electrified GV70 facelift, G90 flagship sedan,.
This showcase reaffirms Genesis’ vision for progressive luxury and sustainable innovation through high-concept design and eco-conscious materials.
