GM Korea recorded its highest annual sales since 2017, selling 499,559 units (based on complete vehicles) in 2024, an increase of 6.7% year on year.
GM Korea's overseas sales in 2024 totaled 474,735 units, an increase of 10.6% year on year, marking its highest sales since 2014. The Chevrolet Trax Crossover and Trailblazer drove overseas sales, selling 295,883 units and 178,852 units, respectively.
In addition, GM Korea sold 24,824 units in Korea in 2024, with the Chevrolet Trax Crossover and Trailblazer driving demand. Moreover, the Chevrolet All-New Colorado, which underwent a comprehensive model change, sold out its initial stock within just one day of its launch. The model continued to excel in the imported pickup truck market, contributing to sustaining GM Korea's robust performance.
Meanwhile, GM Korea sold 53,325 units in total in December, up 3.7% year-over-year, marking its highest monthly sales since December 2016.
GM Korea’s sales overseas in December were up 4.7% on an annual basis to 51,524 units. The Chevrolet Trax Crossover (including derivative models) sold 33,587 units in overseas markets in December, an increase of 11.0% year on year. The model also recorded its highest monthly overseas sales since its launch in March 2023 and the start of full-scale shipments, once again confirming its high popularity worldwide.
The Trax Crossover is Chevrolet’s entry-level model that redefines crossover vehicles. With its spacious interior, new features, and modern and stylish design, it had the highest cumulative exports of domestic passenger cars from January to November 2024 (based on data from the Korea Automobile & Mobility Association).
The Chevrolet Trailblazer (including derivative models) sold 17,937 units in overseas markets during December. The Trailblazer has proven its consistent popularity in the global marketplace through its sophisticated design and excellent marketability.
GM Korea's sales in the domestic market during December totaled 1,801 units, with the Chevrolet Trax Crossover leading the way on sales of 1,306 units. In addition, sales of the Chevrolet Traverse and Tahoe, and GMC Sierra, grew 146.8%, 30.8%, and 40.0%, respectively, compared to the same month in 2023.
